The Youth Cancer Services, which receive federal funding through Canteen as well as state and territory government funding, provide specialist, age-appropriate treatment and support for young cancer patients aged 15 - 25.
Youth Cancer Services are provided at five lead hospitals linked to a network of more than 25 hospitals across Australia. Each service has a multidisciplinary specialist team of doctors and health professionals who are experienced in treating and caring for young people with a range of different cancers. Every young person with cancer can access a Youth Cancer Service and get the best, age-appropriate medical, nursing and psychosocial support.
