The Youth Law Centre (YLC) is Canberra’s free legal service dedicated to young people aged 12-25.
We provide free and confidential legal advice in person and over the phone.
The YLC operates a walk-in centre in Canberra, sharing an entrance with Legal Aid ACT, weekdays between 9am and 4pm. The YLC also provides assistance over the phone and by email.
We provide assistance in many areas, including:
-Drink Driving & Drug Driving
-Other Criminal Matters
-Employment (and Apprenticeships)
-Motor Vehicle Accidents
-Contracts
-Residential Tenancy
-Consumer & Debt Issues
-Traffic Fines
-Driver Licensing
If we are unable to assist, we are able to refer you to other services, including other legal centres and youth organisations.
